The customer service desk staffing is terrible, mainly due to the fact they never seem to have more than one staff person. One person helping people and answering phones is not realistic for a Saturday morning.
We bought a top of the line Samsung washing machine from Lowe's in 2014. Unfortunately, it already needs to be repaired. We have had service personnel to our home on four different occasions only to have them tell us they are in need of a different part. It has been over 4 1/2 weeks without a washing machine! Lowe's does not seem the slightest bit concerned about customer service. I highly recommend choosing Home Depot over Lowe's!
Had purchased some appliances at Home Depot because of a better price on the refrigerator and because they waived the dishwasher installation fee. Went to Lowes today and, even though the online price for the refrigerator at HD was not what was in the store (online was $1900, in store it was $1400), the manager (Scott) was happy to match the price on our receipt AND also waive the installation fee, which is NOT "standard". So, once again, Lowes went the extra mile to make us happy and provide outstanding customer service:)
Wife went to Lowes to get parts, and came out to find a shopping cart against the car. She spoke with the manager who said parking was at your own risk. Apparently shopping carts are free for customers to take home since they have no ownership of them. Lowes = profit over integrity. Home Depot gets our home improvement business going forward.
Do not buy any electronic items from Lowes like refrigerator or anything expensive. Their extended warranty is worthless, absolutely worthless. I bought a expensive LG refrigerator from lowes and I also bought extended warranty from lowes about just 1.5 years back. LG refrigerator now has small cracks inside the refrigerator. LG technician agreed product was defective. Now Lowes is not covering it. Do not buy anything expensive from lowes. Buy it from bestbuy or homedepot.
