Rich A I had a "Perfect Flame" gas grill that caught on fire and was ruined due to a defective design. Chris, the store manager, arranged for a complete refund of my purchase price. Although I was never mailed the recall notice(the Consumer Product Safety Commission only required that a defect notice be posted in the store). This was very fair to me and an excellent retail experience! Rich
Ripped off We purchased 4 bags of red mulch and a tree ring. When we got home and looked at the receipt, we saw that we were charged for a plant also. We called the store and talked with the manager and he said he would check the store video tape. Nothing has been done about this. We won't shop in this Glen Carbon store again!
Skip this miserable experience and go next door to Home Depot We were thrilled when we learned a Lowe's was being built last year. Unfortunately, the first time we walked in the door that all changed. We purchased all our major appliances there, for a newly-constructed home. The customer service was slow, no one seemed to be able to answer our questions, and the manager actually got into a verbal disagreement with my husband about a discount that the corporate office had authorized and faxed over.
