Mark in plumbing was a tremendous help to me today. Couldn't find what I wanted and after a couple seconds of me describing what I needed, he found it easily. Great personality and excellent knowlege.
This review is particular for the Forest Ave store in Staten Island. There is a lack of good customer service in this store, mostly when you have to make an especial order. You never get updates on the progress of your order. I had to go every week after the 6 weeks mark period to has for the status of my order, and I was told I would get it by September 15th; and when the time came, the order was delayed another 2 weeks, without any notice. now, I have to pay extra to my contractor for the installation of the door out of s... read more
I went in and loaded up about $2000.00 in lumber. It was 2 flat top carts and 1 lumber cart. I went to check out at the contractor register (s) I let a couple other customers with a couple items go ahead of me. The cashier was not very efficient but not a big deal, then some dude with a cart full of stuff cuts in front of me. I’m looking at the guy in contractor sales to maybe get somebody to help by opening the other register, nope. So I left the carts full of materials in the middle of the aisle and walked out. Sunday at Lowe's forget it and go to Home Depot. No help to buy blinds, had page given four times Got the "Not my job" nasty young man. See ya!
Do not use their home installation service. Their "estimate" was off 62% The work was half done and then they wanted another $2000 for product they forgot and an extra days labor since they couldn't finish in 1 day I ended up paying $20 square foot for flooring that originally was under $9 square foot
tried to exchange 2 - 5 gal water bottles but a woman named Tammy tried to overcharge me and she said she was a manager. and nobody would help and I showed her the prices and how to ring it up and its their book, I can't do it myself. she argued the price went up but price was not exchange and she didn't know anything. I been going here for years. I wasn't paying double so I grabbed my bottles and went to Home Depot , a little out of my way but was worth it. be careful not to get over charged people , watch your cashier
Updated review Ordered patio door on June 28th and told it would be two weeks to get a permit to exchange the new door for the old. Not Lowes problem for the permit just a stupid pierce county way of sticking it to their constituents. Well it's now August 8 and still no permit. Apparently Lowe's uses a company called premier services based in Portland that handles getting the permit then doing the installation. They say now it may take two months. I smell BS again.
