7/19/2026 6:00 pm I went in to buy 1 x6 x12 pressure treated lumber. Well, after 10 minutes looking for it, I found it on the back wall of the store. I went in the store with the intensions of buying 12 boards. Over $100 worth of wood, well that did'nt happen, i couldn"t find any empty carts to put the boards on. While checking out tonight at the Mocksville Lowe’s hardware store, I was trying to scan my license barcode for a military discount. I couldn’t cover the top barcode on the back of my license because I have arthritis in my fingers. My friend who was with me said let me cover it with the side of the register monitor and then try it again. An associate came over and said what are you doing? Buyer beware. Signed up in Quakertown PA for a Lowe's credit card because they said at the store that it was 6 months ZERO interest. 4 months into using the card for all purchases and paying it off before 6 months - I find out that I've been charged interest on all purchases under $299. This was never mentioned to me. Cancelled the card and will no longer use Quakertown store. May have even lost me as a Lowe's customer completely. Very bad business practices.
The Lowe's at New University Center delivery sucked. Waited all day, just to have it delivered by an elderly man that couldn't even unload the order. My teenage son had to unload 36 16x16 pavers from the back of a small truck and 3 4x8 sheets off of the small trailer that he had. I think this is some B.S. after charging me $69.99 for delivery.. REALLY??
After over a week of dealing with this order, my biggest takeaway is that poor communication and lack of follow-through appear to be part of the culture at Kent Lowe's store. The delivery delay was frustrating, but delays happen. What should never happen is changing a customer's delivery date without notification, failing to return calls, repeatedly promising updates that never come, and forcing customers to spend hours chasing information about their own order. If you’re a contractor, I would not use this store. I ordered materials to reroof a house, and everything was in stock. I scheduled a delivery date and lined up a crew to replace the roof a couple of days after the delivery. The night before delivery, I got a call saying their delivery truck was broken down and it would be delivered the following week. I rescheduled the crew. I walked into a nearly empty Home Depot at 751 AM. I needed some help. I was looking for a very specific item in a huge store. Fortunately, I ran into Antwone. He was there - demonstrating his willingness to help - purely from his body language and attitude. I knew I could ask him and he would give me the help. He did - I got the best product of its kind in the store at the best price. Price was $2.13 - including tax. I'm beyond frustrated by the complete and utterly mismanagement of my order. The order was paid in full by check. Part of the order was picked up with a promise date for the remaining items. The items were cancelled by the manager NOT by us. Then, upon returning the items, Justin, the manager, basically accused us of stealing the items that were not received based on parking lot video. On Friday, May 22, 2026, I drove in excess of 30 miles (one way) to visit the Lowe's on Mooney Blvd in Visalia, California to shop for plants. I entered the store at around 12:40. I typically find plant shopping to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience, but my ears were assaulted by the Christian music being played on the overhead speaker system.
