We(heather, Susie, and Jeri) thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Bill. He was so knowledgeable, spirited, and responsive to our questions and curiosity. He gave us additional time because we wanted more experiences and he could go on and on. We will spread the word and please thank Bill for us.
We've been to Charleston several times and decided to take this tour and was so glad we did. Who would've thought how beautiful the alleys and hidden passages are. We had Bill who really knew his stuff and the tour moved so quickly. It's definitely a unique and wonderful tour.
We had such a great time touring with Bill. His knowledge of history overflows. Plus, you get to see many alleys you wouldn’t otherwise notice!
We had a blast on the hidden alleys tour! Great balance of history and other fun information, and Bill Stanton was an excellent tour guide. He obviously spends a lot of time researching the area and its history. I can’t wait to read some of the books he suggested and teach my kids some of the lesser known stories about the town. My husband and I both definitely recommend doing this.
We did the Alley tour with Bill and we were not disappointed. This tour shows off some of the lesser known sites. Bill is a wealth of knowledge who was able to offer up all sorts of historical tidbits. He was funny, professional and included everyone in the group. We will definitely look for his name on any future tours! Thanjs, Bill for treating everyone so kind!
Bill was great. We went on three other tours during our visit to Charleston and Bill was by far the best.
Evans is a Charleston native and gave the best historical (hysterical) narrative and an "insiders" viewpoint of the characters of Charleston (BYW, he belongs to the category). I've traveled the world, but Evans takes the cake(aka benne wafer, which he hates) Well done!! From: Kelley Gurley
