Had an extremely disappointing experience with this bridal shop. Having to practically beg to purchase my dress was never something I expected during such an important moment. After finding my dress, weeks went by with flaky replies and practically no communication despite numerous attempts to reach someone. I am giving 5 stars solely because the much-needed new management stepped in and made sure I wasn’t without a dress for my wedding. Similar to several other brides who have recently shared their experiences with Lovely Bride DC, getting my dress became an incredibly stressful process, at least up until the past couple of weeks. I recommend avoiding Lovely DC until the purported new management is able to fix ongoing issues. I bought a dress here in June 2025, with a suspected arrival of early spring 2026. I checked in periodically as my estimated date of arrival came and went with 0 communication. I initiated communication at least a dozen times to request an update on the status of my gown. I bought the dreamiest dress here, and had a good try on experience. I purchased the dress in November with a March 25th “worst case” delivery date for a July wedding. The March 25th date came and went with no word from the store. I reached out to the store at the beginning of April and was told that the delivery date was just an estimate and it could be another 2-3 weeks, but no concrete information was provided. I had a very stressful and frustrating experience with Lovely Bride, and based on other recent reviews, it seems like I’m not the only one.
