People here are always pleasant, friendly, and fast, which we really appreciated. However, the food quality has unfortunately gone downhill. We ordered a spicy baked salmon roll, and it was barely baked. The avocado in every single piece was black, and overall it just didn’t taste fresh. We also ordered two Kingster rolls, and the shrimp on top had mayo thrown all over it—definitely not how these rolls are usually made. Clean, fresh environment with plenty of TVs and comfortable seating options. Clever is the name of the game with this place. Edamame served on the house like bread/butter or chips/salsa, excellent attention to detail in the dishes and decor, and creative yet simple execution across the board. Generous portions, friendly staff, and an alt radio station to make me feel like I am where I am (Bakersfield). The list goes on and on.
