not exceptional At Los Baez you will find an average Mexican food dinner. When we were there the chips were greasy and tasted stale. the dinner was fine. I would not go there again if I had other choices.
Fresh Salsa and Tortillas Los Baez has fresh yellow crunchy tortilla chips and the freshest salsa ever tasting like fresh vegetables from your own garden. Other Mexican restaurants salsa tastes like it's from a jar. The food arrives to your table promptly. Their tortillas are thick and homemade. They have their own recipe for homemade refried beans as well. It's my favorite restaurant.
Restaurants Great service and great food. Difficult to get to coming from downtown Salem or if you miss your turn. Nice environment and clean restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Wally Burrito! I grew up on Wally's Burrito's and am now raising my son on them. Los Baez is totally authentic mexican food and great prices. They always have lunch and dinner specials as well. But before you try the specials be sure and try a Wally!
Mexican is my favorite food and Los Baez continues for 40 years to still be my favorite!

I think it's time for the Baez family to look back to the past and remember what has allowed them to be a part of the Salem community for so long. it's called customer service and I think they are lacking pitifully in that area. I was made to feel like asking for an extra bowl of salsa was almost the unpardonable sin. The owner embarrassed my lunch guest and me.
