The coffee here is great, but not nearly as great as the exceptional atmosphere. Loro Montavilla has a cozy warmth I can't remember finding anywhere since the shabby chic and industrial design trends left coffee shops scorched and barren. I wonder if it was intentional, or just a happy accident from serving coffee and pizza in the same shop, but whatever the cause, there is something unique here.

I love Loro and its employees. When I worked up here I went every day and it was such a personal, pleasant place to get coffee in the neighborhood. Plus those breakfast sandwiches kick ass.
The barista working this afternoon was very kind sweet and patient coffee was great and so was the breakfast sandwich.
I was surprised how good the Bacon Arugula sandwich was! Not much space inside, but great little place to have breakfast.
