Easily one of my favorite restaurants
The atmosphere itself is fair w/ a combo of dining & bar seating, I especially the outdoor eggshell hanging hammocks. What is unusual is that you have to constantly go and order at the register. Very odd concept and wouldn't be too serious if they would also let you buy more than one drink BECAUSE I have to come up to the bar every time. What's the point of having the servers? Loro’s quality has taken a nose dive within the last year and it’s extremely disappointing. I’ve been a huge fan for years, but it hasn’t tasted right the last few times I’ve had it recently. Extremely friendly staff and excellent atmosphere.
Loro Addison is amazing. I went on Tini Tuesday ($3 martinis). The lychee and frozen espresso martinis are both 10/10. I also enjoyed the happy hour from 4-6. I ate the smash burger and edamame. Also yummylicious. What enhanced my experience even more was the service. I was checked on multiple times. Kudos to Landon, Matt and (sorry for not getting her name) she had locks with a bandana and wore glasses. I will provide this review looking at Loro as a restaurant and not a bar. I imagine if my party and I had gone there for drinks alone it would have been a different experience. The food: Spicy and/or sweet. While I like spice I found items like the Brisket way too spicy. Even the carrots served in with lettuce to "make it a wrap" was spicy. The fish I had was amazing.
