They are part of the Capparell family and use some of the same recipies. – Good food and nice price. Small joint that is pretty much as eating Capparelli food with a differant name. There use the Capparelli family cookbook because they are kin to each other.
good baked ziti – must try this place more--the baked ziti was pretty off the hook. their salad has excellent dressing!
Editorial Review – Dine-in and takeout Italian cuisine since 1966. Specialties include lasagna and homemade chocolate pie, plus hand-tossed pizzas, pasta, more.
Great Place – it is small but it serves good Italian food. This place has been around for over 40 years -- a family run business. The service is great. Rick, the owner, is a frindly guy, definitely loves his food. Never trust a skinny chef.
sit with your back to the wall(hee hee) – great food for both the carnivore and vegetarian alike-the pasta with marinara sauce is fabulous-other favorites are the artichoke pellicci(sp?)and spinach pizza-enjoy the dish or sleep with the fish
I found my home away from home! – Great Italian food with a decent staff, affordable, and reminds me of the eateries you find up north. The VEAL ribeye was the best veal I believe I have ever tasted, and the glass of malbec wasn't too bad either! Al Martino on the radio really topped it all though!
Excellent Food – I read about Lorenzo's online so when I got to San Antonio it was the first place I went to eat. And boy the reviews were right. The food was excellent. I had the manicotti and it was delicious. The whole staff was so friendly. They made me feel right at home. And they even had the Penn State vs Ohio State game on which I was thought I was going to miss completely but got to catch a bit of it. (I'm a PSU Alumni). I would recommend Lorenzo's to anyone to visiting the San Antonio area.
Love it! – Check out the pizza, it's AWESOME! The Eggplant, the lasagne and the marinara sauce are also amazing. Did I mention the Pistachio Pie? WOW!!! and don;t forget to take the oppurtunity to try some of the wines. Samples are offeredand the featured wine is always worth checking out. the specials on the weekends are always posted on their website
Probably the best Italian restaurant in SA – I have been frequenting this restaurant for many years. The service is always great and the food, even better. The prices are fair and there is a great selection...great wine list too. Do not leave without trying the Pistachio Pie...TO DIE FOR!
