I stepped in while visiting from out of town and thought I'd just see what was in store. This place is great. Staff greeted me quickly and offered help if needed. They let me take my time looking around. When I found some yarn they quickly wound it up and bagged everything neatly. Very friendly, helpful without being overbearing, willing to assist if needed. A great selection. Very clean and open store and easy to get to. If I ever come back to Philadelphia I'll be back here.
Loop Yarn is an incomparable yarn store. Craig and Laura have a well curated selection, high level classes and superior customer service. They cater not only to knitters but spinners and weavers. Every visit there is a delight.

Glad I ventured to this yarn shop on South Street in the heart of Rittenhouse Square. This shop is very quaint and has a welcoming atmosphere. I recently took a sock knitting class during one of our numerous heat waves and it was a joy to walk to the shop. I love all of the knitting activities that take place on a regular basis. Took a weaving class today. Loved it! The shop is filled with beautiful goodies and the people are friendly and helpful.

Had another great class at Loop today. Weaving 101 with Liz Gipson. I love a class where you leave with a finished project. The instructor was fabulous especially with a class full of total beginners. The space for classes is roomy and well lit. Thanks to everyone at Loop for hosting. I can't wait to take the next level classes!

I stopped in about an hour before closing last week and was warmly greeted by the two people there. Both were incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was interrupting or inconveniencing them (which is sometimes the case when I've gone to other independent yarn stores). Great selection of yarns and great kits too! Unfortunately there wasn't much Hedgehog Fibres yarn - but that's not surprising since it's incredibly hard to find anywhere! When I travel for business, I always look for. Knitting store. Loop Yarn was a special find. I went back two days in a row. Loved everything and bought alot! Especially like the striped yarn sock. A real knitter ' s haven.
