APPAULED BY THE TREATMENT TO CUSTOMERS AND LANGUAGE – I have lived in Park Slope for 25 years and have never experienced the behavior of the store manager/salesperson (asian women) in any store in Park Slope like the one in Loom. On 03/09/11, I took my 20 year old daughter in to purchase a baggallini bag for school. After she selected a bag marked $45, the salesperson rudely told us the bag was $49.99 that the price just went up today. I asked if she would honor the ticketed price and she said, “No, if you don’t buy, I will ... read more
Wonderful Neighborhood Shop – I have been shopping at Loom since it opened around the corner from where I live. The selection is amazing. I can always find just that perfect gift for a friend/relative or for myself. I have been in this shop over a dozen times and I have always found the staff friendly and courteous. I'm baffled at a few of the previous entries. I have never encountered anything remotely similar to what they wrote of. Browsing through Loom has always been a treat!
You just lost a loyal customer -- – Loom has been my go-to spot over the past 4 years for letter press cards, beautiful candles, and gifts. However, I had a terrible run-in with a rude staff member on Sunday July 19th. I was so upset that I wanted to write the owner, Barbara, until I found out she is even more of a terror then her employees. Oh well...I guess I'll buy my $5.00 Snow & Graham and Hello Lucky Letter Press cards else where...Like the nearby Scaredy Kat.
Ridiculous policies, rude to customers – Loom's major merchandise is Tano bags -- which are amazing, wonderful bags. I've bought several from the store. Tano bags come with a guarantee that the company will fix them if you have a problem with them, but you're supposed to send them back through the retailer. In fact, retailers are contractually obligated to accept bags back to send in for repair. Despite this, Loom refuses to accept the bags back. The sales staff couldn't give a good answer for why this was and at one point s... read more
A Customer Service Nightmare – I've always thought that Loom was a nice neighborhood boutique. An experience I had at their clothing annex was so awful that I will never go in there again. I had some items to try on and was told that I would have to wait-understandable as there is only one fitting room in the whole store. There were two women sharing the room and taking their time, not rushing at all. I had no problem waiting and browsed some more until finally, 15 minutes later, they were done. For the whole time I was in t... read more
liked it – i like loom and have never had a horrible experience, customer service or otherwise. the products are nice and the people have always been very helpful.
Evil people, mediocre selection, a must to avoid – This little store carries some nice items, but nothing you can't find elsewhere. And elsewhere is exactly where you should go, because the people who work here are pure evil. This place made me so mad in the past that I actually wrote them a letter -- yeah, with a stamp and everything -- telling them off. AWFUL! It's one of those places that you want to support because it seems cute and it's a local, neighborhood, non-chain store, but then the bad attitudes are such a turn o... read more
Take your business elsewhere. – I like the products this store offers. They clearly have a great sense of style, and in the past I loved to pick up wedding presents, birthday presents, and purses there. I would stop in every time I went to the bank across the street. After a run in with an incredibly aggressive store owner/employee this past weekend however, I've decided that I'm not going back. The woman was down right hostile and rude. I prefer it when I'm treated like a valuable customer, rather than a waste of someone's ... read more
THE WORST PERSONALITIES! – Don't shop at this store! I bought a pair of jeans, and the next day, I realized that they were ripping and the zipper didn't work, but the girl said that I had already worn them, so I wasn't able to return them! HELLO? How can I notice that the thread rips and the zipper doesn't zip unless they are ON ME? I had the tags and the receipt and everything, but she wouldn't except it and had a very arrogant and condescending personality. I will bring my business to the internet from now on instead of su... read more
