After many years without a doctor when I was finally picked up by the Longfields medical centre I was thrilled. Those feelings of reassurance have unfortunately been stripped away. I have only had two appointments at this clinic and already I have much to say. 1. Like many other of the reviews I have read the waiting room is a night mare. Not only that the wait times are insane. My last appoint was SCHEDULED for 11:50 AM I was not seen by my doctor until 1:30 PM... 2. This place is a scam. Visit is max 5 mins and the doctor gets paid easily $250 per patient. THEN they proceed to want more money from you by wanting $160 to fill out a form for work that takes them 30 seconds. There’s walk-in clinics that provide this for free. Sick notes are $40. Everything you need to pay for. They don’t care about your health they just want your money. Waiting room is 10 maximum (as stated on wall) but there were easily 25+ in the small waiting area making it standing room only. Overcrowded, overbooked.
I've been here twice now and I've had a positive experience both times. I wouldn't say the front desk staff are rude. They're just not chatty and they are efficient / focused on their work, which is fine by me. It's a stressful working environment. Dr. Blessing was professional, thorough, and reasonable, and he had good bedside manner. The clinic is punctual (I waited like 10 min past my appointment time) which is a plus for me.
