Whether you're into country, Top 40 or disco, this mammoth club has something for you. – In Short For those who prefer their hats by Stetson and their beer by Budweiser, this spot is perfect. It is known for rough ridin', boot scootin' country on its humongous wooden dance floor that features two bars in the corners. But, you get more than the top country acts touring the nation at this giant joint. There's also a cavernous dance space where DJs spin the latest hits and another huge room with electronic dance-disco tunes.
I love it – I met my hubby there 25 years ago. And we still go back. Not as much as we used to d it due to having family and all. But we look so forward to going when we can. We do go about 10 times a year and we have never had rude staff. They have always been very helpful. No customers are out of the Long Branch staff control. You can't blame them. Great live music opportunities! – I live about an hour from the Longbranch, but it is not uncommon for me to make the trek there at least once a month. Not only do you get live country band acts at low prices, but the bands will even mingle with the crowd after the concert! Definitely overrated – The Longbranch is definitely overrated, although they do have a variety for everyone (Club Extremes has a DJ and you get live music and country music), the cover is too much $10, and they do not take credit cards, which means you have to pay ATM fees to get any cash to buy a drink! I went here once for my boyfriend's birthday (they are country boys), but I wouldn't go back with my girls or anything!!
You've got to go there !! – The Longbranch is an icon in the Raleigh club scene...plain and simple. If you haven't experienced the Longbranch, you haven't experienced a true nightclub! As I have said before, there are 3 sides to this club that will reach everyone's taste in music. Great staff! – My friends and I had planned a girls' night out for last Friday. After reading some of these reviews, I got a little nervous about the staff. They were some of the nicest bartenders I've ever had...very friendly! The bar was a lot of fun, but very empty. We must have been there on a off-night??? Still, it was great for a girls' night out.
New DJ is HORRIBLE – Ok, this place wasnt amazing before, but at least it was always packed and energetic... but this new DJ is god awful... he cant mix at all, he basically just plays two songs at once and the worst is that he yells, not talks even, but YELLS, ALL the time, at least once a song... I have been 3 times with the new dj and each time the crowd was smaller and smaller and this past saturday it was just sad... I wont be going again until he is gone, he is that bad
Staff aren't the only rude ones here – You'd think people would be more pleasant if they are out for a nice time on the town, but customers at the Longbranch can be just as rude as the staff. Both I and my husband are somewhat fat, but we still like to go out and dance - but you'd think by the way some Longbranch patrons act, only the "beautiful people" are allowed (pu-leease.... the beautiful people do not go to the Longbranch!). My review of the LongBranch nightclub – I Love the LONGBRANCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is the best nightclub and bar I have ever to and I love the people and bands.
