We were planning to stay at this resort but had to cancel because our plans changed. I canceled before the time I had to, and have the written confirmation from email earlier in the week to indicate that everything was canceled properly. Tonight I checked my card and found out that they charged my card with a large deposit anyway, despite the fact that I canceled. Beach and pool were great. Service was good. But the hotel itself is dated. A/C was broke... but the staff did fix it in a timely manor. Our balcony was behind someone else’s balcony which killed any privacy. If they had a little face lift with some updates it would be much better.

We recently joined the social membership and are down in longboat periodically throughout the year. We live next door in beach place and come over and use the gym daily. We came in yesterday to use the gym and we were going to leave our daughter in the lobby on her iPad to watch childrens program and not bother a soul, an were told under no circumstances was that allowed. The staff were very sweet and the view was amazing. The food oh yes... the lobster Benedict was AMAZING!

Amazing staff, beautiful location, and the food is delicious! We booked our lunch reservation on recommendation of a friend and we were very happy that we did so!
