I had my Rehearsal Dinner at Long Ridge Tavern I chose Long Ridge Tavern for my rehearsal dinner because the menu was sure to please everyone. We had a private room and they came up with a special menu based on our budget. The place is a historical landmark and a fun place for group outings. We stayed and listened to some music in the bar before heading home for the big day.
Rude owner & slow food service! Went there recently with a party of 8. Food service was slow. 1and 1/2 hour to serve main course. Our complaint was met with a rude response from the owner and was blamed on the fact that we ordered "well done steaks".nOn fact no one in the party ordered well done steaks. The owner never accepted any responsibility for the slow food service but instead made up various excuses. Bathroom was dirty. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Very good We have hosted many a group luncheon here and have always been happy with the food and service. Parking is ample. Prices are typical for Fairfield county but not too bad.
Long Ridge Tavern is rustic. Even though this restaurant is several exits east of Greenwich, my wife and I dine there with complete satisfaction. The food is good. The prices are reasonable and its abiance is rustic. It's a wonderful dining experience.
The tavern is shut down. New restaurant from new owners coming soon, but don’t get fooled into trying to eat there for now.
I found out that this place may soon be a distant memory through coming across it's estate sale on facebook marketplace. A shame for sure, it was a nice little historic place that really had a charm. I recall my friend recommending me this place and we ate here on a road trip. The owners were nice and I am saddened to see it up for an estate sale, I don't know if it is still in business or not, but I recommend it's community to save this place, otherwise eat there while you c… See more
Casual and rustic restaurant with a lot of history and charm. Always enjoy being there but bar service is awful. Need a bartender with personality and energy. They do a great burger although tonight it took an hour for the burger to be served and it was cold. Live music is back!
Super friendly staff. Stopped in for a beer and the menu looked tempting. Had two apps, the smoked salmon and the Buffalo chicken strips. Both excellent. They had a tuna but it wasn't seared so I passed on that. Happy hour Monday-Friday
Our gastro tour of Connecticut continues. If I had to pick a fabulous place in CT not on the water, The Long Ridge Tavern in Stamford is it! A quaint outdoor garden complete with babbling water fountain, perfect shaded tables (and a gazebo) for 6). The menu is not huge but is perfect. We had Onion soup, burrata w/heirloom tomato, French Toast with fresh cream and strawberries and a burger with onion rings. The cocktails were sweet. The food was delicious. Can’t wait to come back and share it with a few friends. PS: Thetes al... read more
