There is a water fall at the end of Balls Creek just a short 30-45 minute paddle away from the marina. The water stays calm on Balls Creek due to the shallows and lack of motor traffic. Perfect spot for kayaking! Prices are reasonable, great instruction by Frank... and he is a hoot! Great personality and excellent customer service! You also have to eat at Sasha's when your done! Carolina Gold wings and a cold beer... YUM!
This is a great place for kayaking! Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Also, great restaurant beside there called Sashas on the Lake to get food and beverages.

My husband and I had an amazing date.. Such a great quiet area . By Franks recommendation, we paddled about an hour or more to a quiet little waterfall . It wasn't difficult and such an amazing day . Very reasonable!!
This place was great, and the customer service was top notch!
My kids and I had a terrific time paddle boarding today. Frank epitomizes "user friendly" and had us out and on the water within minutes of our arrival. Lake Norman is a beautiful place and paddle boarding is a terrific way to explore. Thanks Frank for a fabulous morning.
