Similar billing experience as many here. We received a debt collection notice a couple years after the procedure. We did a receive a text message earlier from what we think now might have been Lone Peak's billing department requesting payment, but it looked like a scam because the hospital said they had no affiliation with NHP Anesthesia and our hospital bill showed the anesthesia work as already being paid. I have never dealt with worse billing. Same experience as others. Suddenly getting collection noticed for an epidural done over 2 years ago and when I call them they have no record of my account. But now I’m in collections? Never got a statement or anything in the mail. Insane.
I had a surgery in February of 2023. It is now August 2023. I was on the phone with my insurance and found out that Lone Peak anesthesia didn’t send my bill the correct way so they never payed it. I haven’t received any further correspondence from lone peak anesthesia and I can’t get ahold of them. Every number I try leads somewhere else and to random hospitals. So now I’m just waiting to get sent to collections for no reason.
Same experience as everyone else. Just got a “collections” notice in the mail for a procedure done TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO that I had already paid. It was an absolute nightmare to work out. Apparently lone peak was changing their billing company and this collections agency is helping them? They had no proof of my already paying either so it sounds like lone peak just sent all the debt and no payments? An absolute joke.
Also had a terrible experience. They sent me to collections without notice while I was working with insurance to get the bill paid. Still fighting with them. My insurance has even told me it will be covered if it's billed correctly. I complained to my surgeon and the hospital as well.
