This pizza is ok. It is overpriced at $23 for a small and an extra $4 for a topping (I got mushrooms). I liked the edge of the crust and the basil. However, the sauce was too subtle and same for most of the crust. The breadsticks I got weren't that good and some were hard as a rock. The service was exemplary and the people there were all nice and it was only a 15 minute wait for a seat, which was nice. It's a cash only establishment so going to their ATM was a little annoying. Horrible service no cheese on the burn pizza, was really surprize it was highly recommended by lots of freinds. Pizza was burned I lived in Italy for 5 years that pizza had nothing to do with Italian pizzas
The pizza is the best I have ever had. The service and the atmosphere was also very good.
For me, this is the best pizza on planet earth hands down. I don't care about the provenance of being the first in America (which is what led me here in the first place) although it adds to the awesomeness of it. I love this style of pizza...the crust, sauce, cheese are perfectly on point! I'll continue to visit here each time I venture into the city. Bravo!! I rate this 5/5 slices!! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
The service is exceptionally good. Did not feel rushed or insincere. Kept an eye on our water glasses, promptly brought our food, mind it was a full house! The pizza was exceptionally delicious. Zesty, flavorful, and authentic! This place lives up to the hype! Found my pizza fix!

Best ZA in NYC! The owner John came and greeted my wife and I at our table. The coal burning oven makes a huge difference. No oil running off the pizza. Great sauce. Amazing 5 stars!!!
