I stayed at the Lokal Hotel Old City for one night and I’m so glad I chose it. I wanted something with a small-scale boutique feel, and this was exactly that. The neighborhood is charming and quiet, with tons of great restaurants and coffee shops just a short walk away. The hotel itself feels more like a carefully designed apartment than a traditional hotel. Not my cup of tea..picture misleading and you have to be comfortable with self service..luckily we were on 2nd floor and not have to walk up 3 or 4 flights. Bed was also uncomfortable..room was a good size and clean but I thought I was going to a small brownstone hotel..thats not quite the reality..maybe young travelers might enjoy this better.

Love this place! It’s so easy to get in / out, and such a more desirable location the most of the other hotels in Philly. Rooms are big, clean, comfortable. There are a lot of steps depending on the room, but if you’re able/don’t mind, it’s well worth it.
We celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary here and it was an absolute delight. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco to start our stay. Thank you Lokal! We stayed in the "Will" and he was the perfect gentleman. Every detail of the space was thoghtfully designed and curated. If you love Historic buildings, Lokal Old City is for you. We will most definately return.
