Overall it was a nice, friendly, and relaxing place to get away. We stayed at a room in the lodge. There were also camping, tents, cottages, and RV areas. The price of a room at the lodge for 3 people was about $400 per night including tax and fees. Maybe it was during the 4th of July weekend. The room at the lodge could have been roomier and a bit more than a typical standard hotel room, but it had a gas fireplace, nice patio, and a wonderful open courtyard with its own fireplace and seating area. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location! We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The area was so peaceful after a busy day. We checked in late after the daily wine hour had ended, but the employee at the front desk still offered us complementary glasses of wine upon check in. Will definitely return during our next visit to the city!
Always a wonderful stay. It’s expensive but actually worth it! Luxurious rooms and bedding, great service, delicious breakfast spread, and the best location for peace and quiet in a national park.
