We purchased a very expensive Lochinvar boiler system for our home in the Colorado mountains about 8 years ago. We did so because we were told it was one of the best systems around and would last for years. That was a lie. After 2 years and in the middle of the winter, the original fan blower blew. It took about a week to get another from the manufacturer and cost about $2000. Very, very cool people here! Very quick to unload! They will let you park off to the side after you’re done if your clock needs to finish resetting which is nice :-)
Just had yet another Lochinvar water heater spring a leak after only a year of use. This is the 2nd one to fail in 2 years. Completely unreliable product. The tanks are under warranty, but installation isn't, costing me double what it should have. Our original tank (Rheem) lasted 9 years, but Lochinvar seems to only last about a year. Ridiculous.
