Update: the situation was not as you described. I wanted my wife to sit in a chair, the same chair that was offered to her by the wash guy. Salih wouldn't begin to listen to what I had questions about. Instead, kept talking about his 12 years experience and boundaries (both of us wanted to respect the boundaries, and said so, becase we are caring people and didnt want to offend anyone.) First off the guy who did my wash and Conditioning was a great guy! (Anatomy Train by Thomas Myers is the book we talked about) He needs to leave this place and follow his passions. My husband came to get his hair done. We were both excited and we were treated like idiots because we didn’t know how the salon appt. was supposed to go. I asked if I could watch while he gets his hair done and was told by 2 people that it would be okay. When it came time for me to sit and watch I was told he (the owner) didn’t feel comfortable with me being in his space and said it wasn’t how salon appts go and that we clearly had never been to one before in a rude and disrespectful way.
