Liza Blumenfeld MD is everything one would want in a care provider. Compassionate, intelligent, and caring. I have dysphagia due to radiation and chemo received back in 2006. My inability to swallow led me to UCSD for a peg tube placement and a boot camp of speech therapy. Liza provided me with some great tools and advice to keep this problem from progressing. I give her full marks! As an added bonus, her husband is an avid hockey fan !!!
I got sent to her by another physician who thought I had a speech problem (I don't). She tried her best to help me and was very friendly and compassionate. I didn't feel like the appointment was rushed at all. She ruled everything out speech-wise and did a very thorough job doing so. Humble and an upbeat personality - if you need a speech therapist, she's the one! Treats you like a human, not a number which is rare nowadays.
