I would give this no stars if I could. While I could go into detail the issues I’ve had with Dr Carr, my biggest is after two years of constant care, voluntarily, I told whatever new assistant he has now that I would need them to write my prescriptions without an appt since I was told he just had a positive covid test and they told me I STILL had to see him in person. Dr. Carr understands Addiction Medicine better than any doctor in DeSoto County, and possibly beyond. I have lived experience in Recovery and have worked in this field for over 9 years. I have met very few Addictionologists with his level of expertise. I would send my own family to him for care.

Best Dr. I have ever seen! Patient for 3 years...he doesn’t sugar coat things to not hurt my feelings because he is in recovery too and knows that I needed a tough dr. He and his wife are wonderfully kind people and I believe they truly care about people staying sober! Some may think he’s rude..not rude but Honest! Recovery is hard, especially at first and he’s the one that will tell u why u need to get clean, not pat u on the head and say “awe it will be ok” or listen to ur complaining when there’s no change. Dr. Carr is a very kind man, he's very professional and from the times I have been there he's done everything in his capability to help. The Front office are very friendly and understanding people. He's very sensitive to the needs and comfort of his patients, and he can be off-putting to people who aren't fond of "southern hospitality", but I loved it! I would definitely recommend him & his clinic
