Little Log House Pioneer Village is the vision of Steve and Sylvia Bauer. It is a revived pioneer village showcasing some of the state's cherished historical artifacts. The idea came after Steve discovered logs dating back to the mid 19th Century in a demolition site. He managed to save the cabin and moved it to his farm. The village started from that log cabin. We were in MN from IA. On our drive from the wedding church in Lakeville, my husband complained a bit about the drive to the Little Log House Pioneer Village . . . . until we arrived. He LOVED it. We had so much fun checking out the buildings, signs and gardens. We took lots of pictures to show our friends; although a picture cannot depict this unique, historical village. We would love to come back to learn more.
