I’m extremely disappointed and upset about my expertise with Maricela at the Little Locks in Solana Beach. I brought my son in with long, curly surfer hair and asked for a little length to be taken off. I showed her on his hair how much length I was happy to take off. I turned away to keep my son busy and turned back to see that she had cut off all of his hair, inches of beautiful curls. I’m just devastated. Had such a great experience at Little Locks for my son’s first haircut in a salon. Lela was great with him, and we will definitely be back for his next cut!

We took our 3 year old based off the good reviews on a “surfer shag” cut others got and regret it. The place is kid friendly and the folks are nice, but the haircut is terrible. Our kiddo has a little longer beach bum hair with curls at the end and we were very clear about wanting to keep that overall feel and just shape things up without cutting it into the generic short toddler boy haircut. We've been coming here for 4 years. The staff is wonderful and always accommodating, and my son loves going to sit in the Lightning McQueen chair. Sarah is the very best with our son, patient and kind!
