Girl & the Goat has been serving fun foods, craft beers, and making wine in a rustic and kick-butt environment since summer 2010. The restaurant opens at 4:30 every day, and stays open until 11pm on weeknights and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays (until those last late night eaters scrape their fork across the plate for the last time, or finish licking their plates until they're shiny and clean). The Goat's menu is divided into three categories: Vegetable, Fish, and of course Meat--while vegetable, fish, or meat are r... read more

This was my birthday lunch, and it was wonderful. The portions were generous, and everything was well seasoned with good cookery. The buns on the sammies were too big for me- too many carbs. Perhaps offer an open-faced option to show off those amazing slaws? Server was very knowledgeable. I'd go again in an instant.
Awesome food, GREAT KIDS OPTIONS and friendly staff! My daughter was duly impressed by the grilled cheese and milkshake .
The best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. The service was also fast and friendly.
One of the best brunches I've ever had. Love the global flavor influences, honey masala cream cheese, and homemade szechuan sausage... but then also amazing classics too. The cinnamon rolls are a must. And the service was so warm and friendly. Will definitely come back whenever we visit Chicago!
Awesome little dinner service was good good price and food was awesome
Girl and the Goat wasn’t open yet. Went to Little Goat across Street. Enjoyed my beer, my bahn mi goat burger (sans bun) and the brussels. Great conversation with waiter Sean. We talked Haymarket riots, Blues Brothers and guitar geek stuff. Great time.
Great spot for some fantastic eats. The macho nachos were fabulous, as were the soup and fat Elvis waffles. Went with a party of 7, including 2 kids, not a bad meal at the table. Kid friendly, with a kids menu. Nice to see that we weren't the only family there. We will definitely be back.
We had a reservation and there was still a little bit of a wait but it was a holiday weekend. Service was very good and the food came quickly. I got the whitefish tostadas which were very yummy. I started eating it by picking it up but ended up eating it with a knife and fork because it was too messy. Others in my group ordered the eggs and sausage, the French toast and This Little Piggy went to China. Everyone raved. My husband said he has the tastiest sausage of his life. I also liked the decor. This restaurant is a winner... read more
