The newest most recent ownership ran it into the ground, and took their employees with it. Crashed and burned hard, used to be a great place, in fact I have a gift card from there and now because they have been closed for sometime, I will never get to use it, maybe just as well, but at least they should return the money. We will see, perhaps they will see this and contact me. What a damb shame!
I use to love this coffee shop- located right on lovely downtown Maine St. Paul, the original owner, ran a tight ship. The food and coffee drinks were fabulous and the environment was welcoming. Then Paul sold the place. The second owner renovated the interior and gave Mark, the chef, more latitude to create menu items which were fabulous. Then the Little Dog was sold again- staff changes ensued and the service, quality of food and drinks and welcoming atmosphere went out the window. The owner is refusing to consult with the employees after trying to establish a union. If you cant support your community, you don’t deserve to support your self OFF OF THEIR LABOR. Shame on you.
I wanted to stop in to get a coffee and pastry but there is a labor union (strike) picket line outside with rambunctious picketers. Needless to say, I drove by and went to Aroma Joe’s in Topsham instead.
