Definitely Try It! I expected this to already have TONS of reviews, as this restaurant has been around forever, and is SOOOO good!!! It is a mix of Romanian and other fares, and the food was STUPENDOUS, the service was great and friendly. It is a little jewel in the Old Irving Park of Chicago!
RecommendedFirst time picking up from this legendary place (50 years in business!!) and I wish we knew about this place sooner. Great variety and quality of home style European food. I can only imagine the experience of amazing hospitality when dining in! Send this business off on a great note and order from them. They have great specials! and go meet the owner to wish them well! They had a great run!
Although it was carry out, the service was fantastic and the food was great. The "holy water" was a nice treat.
Excellent authentic Romanian cuisine. We live out of state but make special trips to dine in whenever possible. Must try. UPDATE: we enjoyed our delicious dinner tonight. The 3 and a half hr drive was well worth it.
A great place to have a date night. Romantic violinist comes to each table taking requests. Everyone makes you feel like family. If you grew up with stuffed cabbage, chicken paprikash, or schnitzel, their version will compete with your mom’s. Save room for dessert and sip a cocktail made with Palinka, a Romanian brandy.
Must-Try! This was the first time I ate Romanian Food and this place was amazing. A hidden Gem in Avondale. It's a small, intimate, & completely homemade. 50-Years in Business. Yes, I highly recommend this place.

Truly authentic Romanian food, decor, atmosphere. The owner is passionate and genuine, felt like an old friend. Very good experience, would definitely return.
