I was taken to Lismore base after suffering a young age stroke. The doctors and nurses were incredible, they treated me quickly and in a very friendly manner. Their care saved me from drastic side effects. Thank you to all involved in my care.

After being transferred to Lismore Base after a 2 day stay in Kyogle Hospital I was virtually told there was nothing wrong with me - even though I am being fed by a PEG in my stomach - and that I was to be discharged even though the doctor wanted me to stay for further examination the most awful nurse I have ever encountered told me I had to leave. This was at 10:00pm - my options were to wait in the waiting room all night until someone could come get me or go home in a taxi to West Wiangaree - even though I was full of pain... read more

Some staff are simply wonderful. Emergency you are so bad. Honestly. Presenting in agony on drs advice to be sent home. Actually offered a bed for the night but nothing they can do. I’ve had too many scans they think. It shouldn’t matter how many internal ultrasounds you have if you need one you need one simple. The waiting room is full of crook people receiving the worst care. I watched people throwing up, bleeding and other things….completely left in waiting room. The elderly treatment i witnessed was piss poor. If you can... read more
