Dr. Smith was amazing during an emergency for my son. She completed his appendectomy on 12/28 and we have had multiple issues since during the recovery. Dr. Smith is amazing, the Nurses who return the calls are not. My child experiencing complications post surgery have been dismissed both times I’ve spoken to a Nurse to ask what to do. 5++++++++ Dr Smith is a fabulous surgeon and treats her patients and their families with kindness, patience and respect. My son became her patient seven years ago after we wanted to get a second opinion for Pectus excavatum. He had his first surgery three years ago and just had his bar removed two weeks ago. I am an older patient who spent my whole life hearing that pectus excavatum was "only cosmetic", until it started impacting my health & I finally got a referral to Dr. Smith. It hasn't been the easiest recovery, due to my age & frankly, stubbornness, but Dr. Smith has been extremely patient & attentive with me the entire way.
