Explained procedure very thoroughly. I had a six hour surgery. Everything went smoothly and aftercare was great. The front office staff also do an incredible job and get back to you promptly. 10 out of 10.
My 18 yr old daughter is an athlete who dislocated her shoulder fencing at an event. It happened during a time when she was about to go to the college she was recruited at.. so there was concern about further injuries due to the pressure of college. I had a very good experience. I'm a 68 yr. old having issues with my shoulder and have been seeing a physical therapist, after reviewing my x-rays and a through examination he recommended to continue with the P.T. He wasn't in a hurry to get me into surgery. He did explain that if the issue persists after doing PT that surgery would help. I would recommend Dr. Gottschalk to anyone needing help with orthopedic needs.
Dr. Gottschalk set my son's broken arm. He was kind and gave my som excellent care.
Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful! Dr. Gottschalk took the time to listen to my extensive medical history, as well as my frustrations with the extreme attempts made to alleviate my pain. He completed a thorough examination, explaining each step. We discussed all possible treatment and surgical options, including options provided by injections, PT, Dr. Gottschalk, and specialty clinics. It was a very positive and informative appointment, and look forward to working with him.
I am 67 years old and saw Dr. Gottschalk in November for a 2nd opinion regarding the excruciating pain in my shoulder and back. He reviewed my MRI and Xrays and spent the time to clearly explain what problems existed and why surgery was recommended. My appointment was on time and not rushed. By the end of the consult, I understood the problem, the recommended procedure and the extensive rehabilitation involved - and why. Thank you Dr. Gottschalk, you were so helpful!
Dr. Gottschalk was very attentive, listened to my complaints, and explained the problem I was having so I could understand what the problem was. I would highly recommend him. I am 84 with muscle weakening from a prior femur break.
Never again, this was and still is by far the weirdest experience I've ever had with a surgeon!! This man scoped my knee and told me he could buy me another 5 to 10 years before a replacement was needed so I rolled with it. Started therapy then my Two week follow up came up and seemed to go well. The next two appointments were canceled by his office staff stating something came up and I could see the NP, so I did, 2 more weeks off work and another appointment scheduled AND canceled by his staff"he's still not in the office" ... read more
