I hope I caught the doctor on a bad day, and that he's providing better care than I received to his other patients. He stared off into space while we talked, spent much of our time together bad-mouthing another doc in his practice, and barely glanced at the two spots on my skin that had brought me to his office. He was funny, down to earth, professional and did an excellent job of aggressively taking care of my skin. Which is exactly what I was looking for.
Briefly, my initial appt (which I waited 4 weeks for) for a rash I was suffering with was rushed, wholly insufficient and impersonal. I made it clear when I scheduled that I needed to have several issues looked at, an initial DERM health overview established, but they had no interest in my health and well-being. Also, no follow up effort to inquire if my condition had improved, which it had not. I have insurance I called about a initial consult & was given a price estimate.I took my son in for a small rash the Dr looked at it said it was nothing told him to put peroxide and vaseline and said it was nice to meet you come back if it gets worse. The appt was probably 3 minutes from start to out the door. I got a bill for over $200 my share when I called I asked again about the price she quoted the same then I told her the price of my bill and what happened she stammered and um oh well the price can vary. I have been going to Dr. Kraffert for over 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. All the fears I had were unnecessary. It was less painful than I expected. I went to him today to have one mole removed from my face. He looked my whole face over and also took care of some others as well.
