Wow! Wow! Wow! Keep that 5 star tradition going! – Impressed with the service, the food, the setting, there's just something about a place that gets constant focused attention from ownership so that it doesn't get that stodgy passe feeling of some places that try to bank on a once good name. Still the best the progeniture of BDI (I know technically not but culinary art flows in the veins) - almost beats my Bon Vie save for the expense and location. Highly recommend.
Excellent Food – Ideal for a large group or a couple. No complaints about the meal from me or any of the other 11 people I dined with. I highly reccomend the salmon- it was perfectly cooked- best I've ever had. The meal was worth its price. Friendly waiter and prompt drink refills. We made a reservation and we were seated as soon as we arrived. The only problem was the long wait to get our food. But even that did not ruin my experience and I would gladly return to Lindey's at my next opportunity.
Excellent Sunday Brunch For Three – There was no wait, the service was meticulous and friendly, and the prices are good for the quality of the food. Two of us had the chef split the french toast (real whip cream and maple syrup!) and the eggs benedict into two portions. So delicious. No alcohol before one pm. Too bad, I would have liked a bloody mary with my dishes. The fresh squeezed orange juice is the perfect replacement. Staff are attentive and know what they are talking about.
One of my favorite spots to eat – It is a very good place to get a taste of fine dinning without breaking the bank. It is a good place to take a loved one for a romantic dinner for two.
a great place tucked into german village – The food is consistently stellar . . .I LOVE the lobster bisque!!! . . . .when they have the special for scallops it is wonderful!!! . . .the service is consistently good . . .it is a great place to take people you don't know well becasue of the variety and consistency!!
Wonderful ambience, ecclectic cuisine and – Since our move from Manhattan, we have dined at Lindey's on at least a half dozen occasions. The quality of food, diversity of the menu and level of service is certainly comparable to that which we have grown accustomed to in NYC. Whether diners seek a romantic evening with their loved one, a great place to take out of town guests, a quiet place for a lunch meeting -- Lindey's is certainly one of the top places in Columbus to go. The salads are always fresh, seafood, namely the scal... read more
Great Dining Experience – Lindey's is one of the top places to go in town for a "dining experience." The restaurant is beautiful with memorable ambiance and very good service. Their dinner specials have never disappointed. They are outstanding. Watch the gnocchi, though. I love gnocchi and always order it when it's on the menu at any restaurant, but Lindey's gnocchi is unconventional. The sauce is not what you typically associate with pasta, so be warned. Not bad but not wonderful.
A lovely restaurant in a beautifully restored building in German Village, serving traditional American fare. – The Scene This restaurant is housed in one of the finest restored structures in the Village, dating from the 1850s. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the main dining room look out on gas-lit Beck Street. On snowy winter nights, packed with boisterous diners, it looks just like a Christmas card. The Food The fare leans toward proven traditional preparation styles and rarely bows to food trends. New Zealand lamb chops are n... read more
Wonderful Experience – Four of us journeid to Columbus for a Cirque Du Soliel performance and ate at Lindey's prior to the show. Our meal was excellent and our waitress "Tina" was one of the most pleasant and helpful servers that I have ever run into. When I asked her for directions to the event, she drew a very neat and accurate map for me. She then showed us how to get to Greater's for ice cream after the show. She was really delightful and put Lindey's at the top of our list of favorite places to visit.
