Thrive Communities Management LLC (property management company for the complex) paid us $6,400 + our security deposit to vacate unit 117 at Cooper Apartments over a month early. Unit 117 is on the 1st floor, facing the courtyard, next to the clubhouse. The reason for this is that Thrive was not able to properly repair the source of an ongoing, intermittent water leak in the exterior bedroom wall over the past 6 months while we lived in the unit and are supposedly needing to do more intensive repairs without us in the unit. Kenia made my lease renewal process quick and stress free. She was friendly, professional, and answered all my question promptly. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and she made sure I understood everything before signing. I really appreciate how easy she made the renewal process and look forward for continuing to live at Cooper Apartments.
I cannot recommend this building to anyone. While the exterior appears decent, the interior is dangerously deteriorated. The most critical issue is the constant elevator outages, which management ignores with the same empty excuses daily. Tenants are expected to pay rent on time, yet basic amenities are non-existent. The living conditions have become a health and safety hazard: - Safety Violations: Broken handrails, non-functional emergency lights, and littered stairwells create a fire trap.
