i got physically restrained for rocking back and forth. i was not harming myself. this then escalated to the point where i was mechanically restrained. for days i was not allowed to talk to anyone and would be scolded if i spoke to anyone, and other kids there who spoke to me would be told to stop. i was kept in my room for 20 hours out of the day the staff are mostly rude and unsympathetic. when i would have struggles the staff would talk about me like i wasnt even there. but hey at least the food was okay
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was in and out of the inpatient unit fifteen years ago, when I was just twelve years old, for severe depression and attempting to take my life. The staff was horrific and completely unprofessional. It seems like they were on a power trip. They didn’t care about the kids or helping them, they cared about whether the kids would blindly follow whatever orders they gave.
