We’ve really enjoyed our experience at Bayview Hills here in San Diego! Our location is perfectly located in a very nice surrounding that allows us proximity to great shopping areas, commute to Naval Base San Diego, and options for schooling for our boys. We also have one of the best views in the city, overlooking the bay! We had an amazing experience from the time we applied to the time we moved in. They were helpful and it seems like it is a great neighborhood who takes care of their homes and would recommend to any service member who is moving to San Diego!
I love this military housing. Since moving back to San Diego, the experience has been ideal. They take care of your every need. Fleas, roaches, etc. They even cut and water the grass every month. Lovely community feeling, just be a good person.
I would strongly caution military families considering this housing office. Our family PCS’d under official military orders and despite providing documentation showing when our orders were issued, we were still assessed over $1,000 in charges related to “insufficient notice.” (Leaving 8 days earlier) The most frustrating part was not the charge itself, but the refusal to meaningfully address the actual timeline and documentation provided. Used to be better when it was managed under Lincoln. You will absolutely deal with mold, and the worst people you could imagine as neighbors. No one has normal social skills and everyone is in everyone else's business. Everyone moves within 3 years so they think they're not responsible to be decent humans. Pricing is decent for the area, maintenance will show up 24/7, but poor quality management. I'd recommend looking elsewhere to live.
