Old fashioned restaurant that you can't find anymore
We (a party of thirteen) stopped in for a quick lunch after visiting Gettysburg National Military Park & Cemetery. Surprising all of our orders came out hot tasty and at the same time. Very good to excellent diner food.
Very good diner food, good service, and a historic feel!
Food was good! Although I had to pick the onions off of my Lincoln Special sandwich, when I asked for only the peppers, cheese and steak. I could understand if they were busy but there were three tables including me and my fiancé. Also the whole time we were eating we could hear our server and other coworkers gossiping and using fowl language out on the floor! If I was the owner/manager id put a hiring sign on the door and get rid of the inappropriate workers. Probably will never go back....
Fast service. Food was awful, chipped beef was yellow, not white. French Toast not cooked.
Service was horrible tonight. The waitress never asked how the food was, never refilled beverages. Had to ask for the check and then was charged for a turkey meal when I asked for a hot turkey sandwich.
Nothing special, I was a little disappointed since it was PA number 1# diner. Prices and food ok, but I won't go there again as I would want to try something new to me in the area. If you had one dinner out that week I wouldn't choose this place, now if I ate out every day sure.
Love the reteo look and feel to this diner, not to mention the food is excellent! Our new favorite place when we visit Gettysburg!!
