After 3 months and fighting with the incompetent Grace Family Health aka Lily Phillips, MD to deny my referral to see my neurologist, the Medicare doctor who reviewed my petition to see my neurologist found that I had a history of memory and word finding problems with prior negative work-up for etiology. A follow up visit with my neurologist is reasonable and appropriate to re-assess cognition and to clarify the diagnosis, as well as to assist in management of pharmacotherapy.

We basically never deny any referrals when patients requested. However your insurance company (IPA) has the authority to deny referrals based on their review of your records and it is out of our hands. Your case sounds like something I would have gladly referred to neurology to further evaluate. Please contact our management team to discuss further if we can be of any more assistance. thank you.
