Great Experiance – I usally never write reviews about anything, except i thought this place def. deserved it. I heard so many good things about this place and i had to find out for myself. Well what a pleasant surprise. I was going pretty drastic with my hair color and cut, and i was nervous, but the stylist really listened to me and took her time understanding exactly what i wanted. Not so great – I really dont understand the hype about this place? So i have walked past few times and also had reviewed some reviews on CitySeach before dropping in. Look im not saying it was the worst place ever but it certianly was NOT CLOSE to the best.. The work was really not that great at all.. I felt very uneasy. Not calm at all. Oh well you live and learn.. But i will be telling all my friends not to try it!!!
Amazing! – I rarely, if ever voice my opinion online. I usually don't fintd it worth my time...BUT I just had to come here and post about what a great experience I had. I LOVE THIS PLACE – Love this new salon. The staff was so freindly - offerring me water, wine or coffee not to mention the good choice of candy. The atmoshpere was warm and full of positive energy. I got highligts and a hair cut and walked out of there looking and feeling fabulous. The sylist paid close attention to what I wanted and made sure I was completely satisfied before I left his chair. I had an overall great experience with my hair and will be going back as a regular client.
Not as good as I had hoped – After reading the fantastic reviews of this salon, I decided it was time to go myself. The staff was very nice and friendly. However I was disapponited that I could not get what I wanted with my hair. I came in telling my stylist that I wanted to go a shade lighter and he kept telling me it would be damaging to my hair and that he'd only be able to match the ends of my hair to my roots. Great Expectations, Great Rewards – I was at a birthday party over the weekend and noticed that just about all the girls had fabulous hair. It turns out that they all go to the same salon. What was so great is that each of them had their own personnel style and even different hair types, but had the same shiny, healthy, stylish hair. Relaxed atmosphere and talented staff....... – I hate most hair stylists/dressers.... There attitudes/egos are always more formidable than there skillz. Not so at the lifestyle salon. Calum is by far the most talented hairstylist I have ever met. He makes my hair do things I never dreamed possible (I have thick, nappy hair that has proved to be a more than worthy adversary for all previous stylists). 100% Pure Awesome – I love this salon for two reasons: 1 - It is relaxed and cheerful. 2 - Calum is a magician. You have to understand - my hair is super thick and bushy, resembling a hedgehog in a highly defensive posture. There's not a lot you can do with it (or so I thought). But thanks to the creativity and and skills of Calum Stephenson, I look like a rock star, and not like Barry Gibb. I don't what know what else to say, other than he is comprised of 100% pure awesome.
From Strand to my strands – I was at Strand Bookstore the other day- I spent hours browsing thru fashion books and the longer I looked, the more plain I felt. As I left, I was thinking how I should change my hair...the BOOM! There was Lifestyle salon, right in front of me, right down the street from the strand....I went in and got my strands cut (bad pun I know) I walked out feeling like a page in one of those books on runway fashion....I really recommend this place...I love my cut - everyone loves it and its low maintenance... read more
