I just gave blood after 5 years and I feel great. The tech at this place were so friendly and made me feel important. I was worried at first because my veins are really hard to find. My tech ( Katty) was so professional and warm and Amazing. It was so easy and painless. Some of the other staff( charlie ) gave me water and then another one just talked with me. I will go back as much as i can now. Plus they had really great snacks. Give BLOOD it is Easy
Donated at mobile Life South Blood bus at Rouses today. People were great and were very efficient and polite. I was also seen right on time and taken care of. The only reason for a 4 and not a 5 is because I was there for a double red blood cell donation for which I had an appt. While getting paperwork set up they asked did I know my blood type. Today I tried to donate blood at greer's in bay Minette alabama and the two attendants on the bus or not doing their job. There was one woman waiting to be stuck to contribute blood.There was one attendant fiddling around with something to prevent.I guess draw on any blood.The other attendant was messing around with units of blood that already had been drawn in order to not do their job. I went to the bloodmobile at the Piggly Wiggly and Liz did a marvelous job. Didn’t spill a drop!!
I made an appointment. It took over an hour to get “screened”. I was the first one on the bus. I have fear of needles on my left side and two people got to go before me because they are doing double reds and took the only right chairs. So going on an hour and a half still have not given blood. Like why can’t I just sit and give blood.
