Posting this, if it helps anyone. My experience with Lexus of Naperville. I purchased a 2020 Lexus in August and the car broke down this month. A brand new Lexus, that costs $44000 after taxes and discounts, broke down after 3 months. So the car was taken to Lexus of Naperville and they called back to say the hybrid battery which costs $5000had gone bust and they will replace it since my car is within warranty. When I went to pick up my car they said they had replaced only the regular battery, some connection was loose, so it was not charging. So their story kept changing every few hours with regard to what happened to the car. So, I requested them to either give me a new car or simply take back the old car and I was willing buy a new Toyota Camry from them. I have lost my faith in Lexus. They have a Lexus and a Toyota showroom, same company, same owner, same employees. They refused. The car is supposed to give 41 miles mileage, now gives 35 miles. Lexus of Naperville could not care less.

We have researched the service you are referring to. Your vehicle was towed in due to a no-start concern. The tow truck driver (who to be clear, is not an employee of the dealership) told you that if it needs a battery it would cost you $5000 because it is a Hybrid. There was no reason to assume that would be the case and at no point did any dealership employee suggest that was the case. The repair was straightforward, we put the vehicle on an electrical system testing device, the auxiliary battery failed the load test (ability to take and hold a charge) and was therefore recommended for replacement under warranty. The battery was replaced, the paperwork was processed, and we called you to tell you it was done. You expressed that you were unhappy about having to bring your vehicle in for service so soon after you purchased it, so you expressed interest that you would like to explore the possibility of getting a different vehicle. Our General Sales Manager Gary *****has made several attempts to contact you to go over your options in this regard. You have told our GSM that you have been very busy with work and have not yet been able to allocate time to this process just yet. We have respected your time, will continue to do so, and will be ready and willing to work with you whenever you is ready to go.
