my husband and I went there and the place was hot and the service was the worst. They took our order and we sat there for 45 minutes...no food...the waitress never put the order in...They still charge us for the coffee we had while waiting..We cancelled our order..Very disappointing. ..
Ran across this place after visiting the MET with my son and stopped in eat lunch. Had burgers, onion rings and coconut cake. All delicious and service with a smile. Will return and recommend to others. �

Its so comforting to know that some part of old, un-jaded New York exists. I have been going there since I was a kid with family and friends. I still dont know why its called an Egg Cream without any eggs, but I am an English teacher;) Great place for breakfast, brunch, - cute and delicious food ;)
