Lewnes Steakhouse is Outstanding Lewnes' Steakhouse is fabulous. The food is absolutely delicious. A great place to celebrate a special occasion. First class service and a great atmosphere will make you feel pampered all evening.
Melts in your mouth! EXCELLENT STEAKHOUSE Parking isn't the best - we were a couple blocks away, but the fillet mignon at Lewnes is worth a mile-long hike! Bar on first floor, but nice dining room on second. Some window seats overlook street, not water, though. But the fillet mignon is grilled to a magnificently crispy outside with perfectly pink inside and melts in your mouth. Desserts are NOT impressive, may even be from a box. Better than Ruth's Chris Really liked it. Very nice and the food is great! Staff is friendly and the steaks taste better to me than Ruth's Chris. Parking is tough sometimes, but at least you can get a reservation and you don't pay twice as much as like other places. Oh, did I mention the food is great?!!!
Fabulous! This is hands-down the best steakhouse in the area. Actually, it ranks # 2 on my list of all-time great steakhouses...2nd only to Bobby Flay's Steak in the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. The steaks are phenomenal (like Texas-sized), cooked correctly (how many of us told the server "medium rare" and it came out "medium"?), reasonably priced (a little pricey but the steaks are fair market price), the sides are huge and everything can be shared for no additional cost.
