Upon entering my property they were very rude. I did not get a heads up that they would be there, which I blame the property management company for not letting me know. But they were very rude to me when I requested what I was told by the person who came out to assess the situation had told me what would be done. My neighbor up the hill used them to cut trees in his yard. The estimator when he came buy - I told him he could remove cuttings through my yard so they did not have to haul them up the hill - he said he would take the cuttings I had in my yard for allowing them to do that. Did not happen. First day was good because they cleaned up after themselves. Today was day number two and they left my yard a mess. No one came by to see if there were any droppings on my side of the fence.
Lewis Tree Service, Inc., in Santa Cruz, California, just completed work on a row of tall Dodonaea viscosa 'Purpurea' (Purple-leafed Hop-bush) in our backyard. The crew of three did the work using only hand tools (clippers and handsaw) and a ladder and rake. They did not use any electric- or gas-powered tools. They thinned the sides and then lowered the top of the shrubs below our phone lines (the phone line had been tangled in the tops of the shrubs!).
