As a renter from Lester Bentz, I have found his property to be dirty, under-insulated, overheated and not well maintained. As a landlord he is fair, but discriminitory. I rented a one bedroom apartment at his Vern-Mar building, and he told me that my lease was going to be cut short because the other tenants did not like me very much. I am a young man and many of his tenants are older women, and as a young man I was "viewed with suspicion" by my neighbors, and so was asked (albeit politely) to leave.
Wonderful Encounter – My husband and I enjoy browsing open houses - especially in our neighborhood. About two weeks ago there was an open house on Philadelphia Street. Since it was almost over we figured we'd have a quick look around. What we found inside was truly enjoyable, and I don't even mean the house. We found a wonderful treasure by the name of Lester Bentz. Just remembering the encounter brings a smile to my face! Mr. Bentz, we truly enjoyed meeting you! God bless.
