I had a fantastic experience at the Leslie's in Thousand Oaks yesterday. The gentleman helping me (I didn't catch his name, but he was great) went above and beyond by taking the time to look up the exact part numbers I needed. He also gave some really solid advice on using the BioGuard Pool Complete Weekly 3-in-1; he explained how it works as a clarifier and enzyme treatment to keep the water sparkling and continuously manage phosphates to prevent algae. I stopped by for a Pentair O-rimg. I even had the part number. After standing at the counter for quite awhile. The representative finally looked up from the computer at me. I then told him what I needed and he lethargically replied he couldn't help me. No reason, no explanation. He just wasn't interested in my business. I drove down the street to the discount pool supply store where I purchased the part and was out the door in less than 4 minutes.

Price Gouging! I don’t mind paying a little extra within reason for service. I’m telling everyone about my most recent experience as well as the price differential on chlorine and pool salt. Chlorine, bicarbonate of soda (Baking Soda) and pool salt are far less than half the cost and Lowe’s, Home Depot or Do It Center. A simple rubber band track (2) for my pool sweep was $40. The Pool store across the street has them for $30 and Amazon prime next day has them for $9.99. I’m returning my purchase.
