The lawyer they assigned to me didn't want to listen. I told him I didn't want to settle for a certain amount and that I was willing to go to court. But he didn't care and did settle. He made me feel like he didn't want to put in any real effort to my case. Plus the firm added in 5,000 to the settlement amount they I had already gotten from MY insurance company. So instead of taking 33% from 10,000 they took 33% from 15,000. Plus they paid a medical bill from an accident I was in a couple months prior. Dishonesty at its best... read more

To be honest this was one of the scariest times in my life, after getting into an accident you never really know what to do. I went with them after being turned down for Social Security Disability. John Bartelt was my case manager. The paperwork was fairly simple. I went to my doctor for an exam and had her fill out a questionnaire Lerner & Rowe had sent to me. She filled it out and to make a long story short she said I couldn't work. I sent it on to my case manager. Sometime after I was contacted and informed that my case had been assigned to an examiner.
